Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is handled by the outside provider that supplies that search result. Georgetown Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those queries on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only the details you choose to provide, which we use to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host records ordinary technical logs, including an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Information is used to operate the service, address technical issues, measure aggregate traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or create personal user profiles.
External Services and Links
Links can lead to Williamson County and Texas portals, library collections, archives, and outside search services. Each destination controls the data submitted there under its own policy. That includes sponsored results furnished by an outside company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process logs for the service. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguarding Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. No account system is offered, so there is no user password or member profile held by this reference.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Requests
You may ask to access, correct, or remove personal information this reference keeps about you. Texas does not provide one general public-record deletion mechanism, and the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, has record-specific exceptions and confidentiality rules. Since we retain very little, these requests generally involve a contact message or log data. Use the Contact page. Georgetown, Williamson County, and Texas public records are controlled by their custodians, so an official-record correction or redaction request must go to that office.
Policy Changes
We will post changes to this policy here. Continued use after an update signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
